TravelCamel is an independent editorial project about travelling in the United Arab Emirates. We publish long-form guides to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the five smaller emirates - the kind of articles we wished existed when we planned our own first trips.
Attractions and whether they are worth the ticket price, neighbourhoods and where to base yourself, transport from metro to intercity buses, day trips, food, desert experiences and the practical layer underneath it all: visas, SIM cards, dress codes, weather windows and costs.
Facts in our guides come from visiting places, checking official sources and rechecking them when things change. Prices are quoted in AED as actually charged. When an attraction is overrated, we say so; when a free viewpoint beats a paid deck, we say that too.
Some articles contain links to booking services - tours, tickets, hotels or transport. If you book through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These links never decide what we recommend: the recommendation comes first, the link second.
